In the full program, you would now be directed to this page to test the major neck muscles for tightness. To demo just one area, the upper trapezius, click on "Upper Trapezius Headaches and aching/burning from the neck to top of the shoulder." below.
There are seven key areas to check. You don't need to check all seven at one sitting. (All but Upper Trapezius are disabled in the demo.)
  • Sub-occipitals (already checked in Step 4, but review again here)- Headaches are a common symptom.

  • Scalenes (another stretching routine) - Numbness or tingling down an arm.

  • Levator Scapula - Tightness and pain from the neck to the shoulder blade.

  • Splenius Cervisus and Capitus - Inability to turn the head with tightness in the neck and headaches.

  • Sternocleidomastoid (SCM) - Pulling in the front of the neck, neck weakness in getting up from lying down.

  • Infraspinatus and Supraspinatus - Difficulty getting the hand behind the back/shoulder pain/hand tingling.
