Doctors call numbness, tingling, and/or burning
in the hand after an accident "paresthesias". This symptom can have a
lot of different causes. You should always tell your doctor about this
type of problem. However, if he or she has done a thorough
neurological exam and it was normal, then you can probably relax. This
type of symptom is very common after a car accident. Most of the time,
it goes away in the first few weeks up to the first 2 months. If it
persists for longer than that, here are some possibilities: |

A Bruised and
Swollen Nerve in the Neck |
|
Thoracic Outlet
Syndrome |
|
Herniated Disc
in the Neck |
|
