Call for Abstracts The
International Whiplash Trauma Congress is requesting abstracts for podium
presentations. Some topics of interest for the 2007 Congress are as
follows:
• Biomechanics of Whiplash
• Whiplash Injury and Post-Traumatic
Headache
• Engineering Solutions
• Diagnosis, Treatment and
Rehabilitation
• Epidemiology of Whiplash
• Clinical Evaluation of Whiplash
Abstracts should be no longer than 400 words and will be juried. A
copyright submission form must be completed upon acceptance. Abstracts for
the IWTC 2007 will only be accepted online
Submission Deadline:August 01, 2007
Notification: Applicants will
be notified by August 15, 2007 via email regarding acceptance of submissions.
Meeting Registration: Presenters must
register for the meeting and pay the applicable registration fee. Presenters are also responsible for all personal expenses (e.g.
travel, hotel). If your presentation is accepted, you are encouraged
to register for the meeting and to reserve hotel accommodations as early as
possible to ensure that space is available.
Publication: All accepted abstracts
will be published in the IWTC Program Book. The abstracts may also be featured
on the Spinal Injury Foundation website and/or other materials. Lectures may be
recorded and made available via Webcast for continuing education purposes.
Previously published materials may be submitted for presentation at the meeting.
In order to avoid copyright infringement, you must indicate in your publication
whether this material has been previously published, or accepted for publication
in another journal.
Policy on commercial support: Submitting authors must
disclose any relationships that they have with industry. Presentations
must avoid commercialism and should conform to ACCME Standards of Commercial
Support. Presentations that constitute promotion and advertising will not
be accepted, including pervasive use of logos. If the cost of a presentation
has been underwritten to any extent, a clear acknowledgement stating the support
and identifying the source should be included in the abstract (e.g. "The
support of [institution] for this research project is gratefully acknowledged"). Statements
made in presentations are the sole responsibility of the author or presenter. Statements
should not be viewed as or considered representative of any formal stance or
position taken on any subject, issue, or product by the Spinal Injury Foundation.
