It looks like either:
1) This response should not be taken as medical advice.
2) The nerve roots may be injured. One possible treatment to investigate is pulsed radiofrequency of the Dorsal Root Ganglion.
There is something other than the disk bulge that is causing the problems down the leg. Other possibilities include a pain disc, a facet joint, muscles or Myofascial pain, or the SI joint. Christopher J. Centeno, M.D.
