She was rear ended his car totalled hers sustained 3400$ damage in May 2005.2 MRIs mild disc space narowing and anterior osteophyte formation noted at the L3-4 levels, small right-sided protrusion of the T2-3 disc, medium sized central-left paracentral protrusion of the T6-7 disc, mildly flattened the cord, medium sized central protrusion of the T8-9 disc, very small central protrusion of the T7-8 disc, small central protrusion of the T5-6 disc. No fractures were noted and the cervical spine portion was normal. The second MRI shows bulging at L4-5 and L5-S1. The orthopedic surgeon and a neurosurgeon, do not believe any surgery can help me. Cant tolerate topamax. Physio makes things worse A TENS unit, prescribed it does help. The neuro is suggesting another round of trigger injections she says they did not work the first time. Can you suggest anything that might help

We generally don’t use MRI findings unless they correlate with the examination. Do any of these MRI findings correlate with your symptoms or exam? That seems to be the first step, discussing with your doctors moving in the direction of diagnostic blocks (injecting numbing medicine) in these areas to see if they can “turn-off” the light switch for the pain at these areas, or are these areas on MRI not causing pain, or is it somewhere in-between (some are causing pain while others are not)?
