I was involved in MVA in 2004 ,sideswipe by a big vehicle , I was a passenger in a SUV,belted and I suffered a lot of injuries: TBI,right shoulder SLAP tear, instability;facet joints ,capsular joints, ligaments injuries to C-Spine,I developed thyroid condition hyperthyroidism with left lobe nodule and right lobe small cyst , TMJ. In 2005 ,my lower back left side start hurting on and off, gradually in the last 6 months is getting pretty bad ,I just had a MRI done a week ago and the report shows : minimal L4 disk bulging ,L5/S1 minimal posterior disk bulging. My question is if there are any corelations between the injuries suffered and my lower back ,I have never had lower back problemes before mva. Thank you !

There is no way to tell if the MRI is causing your back pain. The distribution of pain could be from the hip, the SI joint, the iliolumbar or SI ligaments, or the low back muscles as well as the discs. An interventional work-up to find the pain generator might be very helpful to see which of these structures is causing the most pain.
