Hi, I was rear ended 7/2005 by truck while at red light. MRI shows small bulge with stenosis, osteophytes and early mild DDD at the C5 C6 disc. I had 2 cervical epidurals which gave me relief for about 2 weeks each session. I am going to Chiropracter, utilizing massage but EMG shows its a C4 nerve impingement which is affecting my rhomboid muscle in my right upper back which is in a constant state of spasming. I also had a DMX which showed some ligament damage but did not show anything that significant. Can you suggest any other options other then surgery? I have an appointment with surgeon in couple weeks. I just want to make sure I am doing everything I can prior to having to have surgery. I also tried acupuncture but it was too painful for me Thanks so much!! Michele

She might consider either DRX, Vax-D, or Triton DTS decompression. These are technologies that strive to decompress the pressure on the nerve without surgery. Trigger point injections are also a possibility.
