The Advanced Practice Chiropractic medicine program
is a joint venture between the Spinal Injury Foundation and Capstone
Chiropractic a national leader in the field of delivering quality
chiropractic care.
Since many patients with chronic spinal injury use doctors of chiropractic
for their PCP's, the purpose of this program is to educate doctors of
chiropractic about the latest diagnostics and minimally invasive
procedures available.
The Advanced Practice Chiropractor has gone the extra mile for his or her
patients. He or she is educated when to use the latest minimally invasive
procedures, while continuing to act as the patientís primary care
physician.
The program consists of a 12 hour educational
investment.
By obtaining an APC-C designation, that practitioner can directly refer
for minimally invasive spinal procedures, advanced diagnostics such as MRI,
and advanced neurodiagnostics while continuing to serve as the patient's
PCP and providing the benefits of chiropractic care.
This saves insurance dollars and patient time, as the patient doesn't need
to be referred to an M.D. specialist before this care can take place. APC
doctors can refer patients directly to the Advanced Practice Network of
participating M.D. physicians. |
