about the journal |
|
Until now, there has been a distinct absence
in the biomedical literature of a journal devoted to the publication
of high quality articles in the field of whiplash research.
Researchers, educators, students, and clinicians have had to go to
many different journals in various disciplines to find papers
relating to whiplash injuries and their sequelae, which has made it
difficult to stay current with new developments in the field.
In answer to this need, Haworth Medical Press is proud to present
the first and only peer-reviewed journal dedicated to advancing the
scientific study of the nature, prevalence, and treatment of
whiplash and related disorders. The Journal of Whiplash & Related
Disorders will focus on the newest treatment options for this widely
misunderstood and frequently mistreated condition and will deliver
up-to-date information on the subject, gathered from available
literature and respected authorities in the field.
The Journal of Whiplash & Related Disorders is multidisciplinary,
examining the problem of whiplash injuries from all relevant
perspectives, including:
-
Clinical
-
Biomechanical
-
Engineering
-
Societal
-
Traffic safety
Our Editorial Board consists of some of the
best known names in whiplash research from North America, Europe,
and Asia. The Journal of Whiplash & Related Disorders will also help
you keep informed of new developments in the field by serving as a
clearinghouse for abstracts of recent worthwhile publications
appearing in other journals. Our goal is to make the Journal the
most valuable single resource available for researchers,
practitioners and others who deal with this commonly encountered yet
poorly understood form of traumatic injury.
